Julia turned one week old today!! How time flies and we already have many stories, nicknames, and inside jokes in seven days. She had a weight check-in at the pediatrician's office yesterday and was only two ounces off her birth weight. She is a champion nurser. Her first outing was to Target and she has also made an appearance to Grandma's house. We are expecting snow again tomorrow so most likely we will be inside for a couple of days. She loves to make the cutest noises so she has earned the nickname squeaker squawker. For the most part she is a very mellow, content baby unless she is hungry or has a bubble and then she becomes our little fuss nugget. Our favorite inside joke is dedicated to one of our nurses at the hospital who was a little too insistent that we wake the poor child up to eat. She told us, "Oh they haven't taught you the mean tricks yet?" Graham and I just looked at each other. So when trying to wake Julia to eat we always refer to mean tricks.
For example:
mean trick #62 - kisses from Lucy the dog
mean trick #11 - damp washcloth
Anyways, you get the idea. Last but not least, we found this onsie at Target and how perfect was it for her daddy who since day one really wanted that tax deduction. Good Job Julia. I am sure it is one of the only times you will listen to your parents.

There is a reason we get deductions. They cost much more than you can ever deduct. Just ask your dad. ha ha
